Corn on the Cob in Air Fryer - Tender, delicious sweet corn cooked to perfection using an air fryer. Slather some butter, sprinkle some salt and black pepper and sink your teeth in these super sweet juicy corns. Trust me, it's addictive and mind blowing!

If you haven't tried Corn on the Cob in Air Fryer yet, you are definitely missing something! Juicy, tender with roasted bits of corn - perfect for snacking. Cannot imagine grilling season without corn and pitchers of Iced Tea or Lemonade.

I tried posting this recipe last summer. Unfortunately, the husband and I kept eating the corn straight off the air fryer and we had none left to shoot. This year, we managed some self control and shot the recipe.

In the past, I have tried cooking fresh corn in many ways. Corn on the Cob using Instant Pot is one of my favorite methods. While you can opt for a steamer or pressure cooker, I love using my 6 Qt Instant Pot which can cook up to 6 fresh corns in one go!

Grilled Corn also tastes great especially if you love the smoky flavor and charred bits of corn. Serve it as corn salad or salsa and serve with chips.

Air Fryer Corn is a process somewhere between steaming and grilling. Can be easily done for a family of 2, followed by a quick clean-up. Also, quickly satisfies the cravings of grilled corn without cranking up the outdoor grill.

Before you sink your teeth in the tender and juicy kernels, slather the corn with some butter, sprinkle some salt and pepper and just dig in!

Ingredients

Corn on the Cob - Corn should be fresh and tender. Scout your nearest farmers market for the best produce.

Shuck the Corn / remove the husk, tassels or silky threads from the corn ears. Give it a quick rinse and pat dry with a kitchen towel.

Before air frying, check whether the corn fits inside the air fryer basket (image below for reference)

Do not crowd or stack the basket which will obstruct air flow while air frying.

If the corn is big in size, just cut them in half. Simple! For kids, you can simply cut the corn in small discs and then place them in the air fryer. Easier for them to hold and eat.

Corn on the Cob can be air fried without oil. However, I prefer some amount of fat as it prevents the corn from drying or appearing dehydrated.

Once the air fryer is preheated, brush the corn with EVOO, salt and black pepper.

I have not added any butter before or after air frying. Truth be told, it was perfect and didn't need anything extra.

I love the mild heat and color of smoked paprika. This is totally optional but I urge you to give it a try. Final garnish with some freshly chopped cilantro or coriander before we sink our teeth in these beauties.

You can substitute EVOO with butter, garlic and red chili flakes OR sprinkle parmesan cheese (while the corn is still hot) for some cheesy corn.

How to make Corn on the Cob in Air Fryer

While prepping the corn, pre-heat the air fryer at 200 degree Celsius for 3-4 mins.

Using a pair of tongs, place the corn in the air fryer basket.

Brush the corn with a mixture of EVOO, salt and black pepper.

Brushing extra virgin olive oil, salt and black pepper on the corn cobs

Air Fry at 180 Degree Celsius for 15 mins. Open the basket and turn the corn over after 5 - 7 mins of cooking.

You can refrigerate this corn for a couple of days. Re-heat in an air fryer at 150 Degree Celsius for 2-3 mins until warm. You can spray / brush some oil before re-heating to prevent the corn from drying.

You can separate the kernels from the corn on the cob and store them in an airtight container, under refrigeration. They are great in soups, salads or serve as afternoon snack.

This is such a great way to cook sweetcorn - it tastes like it has been barbecued, crispy on the outside and really moist in the middle. But so much quicker and easier!
