Shuck the Corn (remove the husk, tassels or silky threads from the corn ears), give it a quick rinse and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
Pre-heat the air fryer at 200 degree Celsius for 3-4 mins.
Using a pair of tongs, place the corn in the air fryer basket. Lightly brush the corn with a mixture of EVOO, salt and black pepper.
Air Fry at 180 Degree Celsius for 15 mins. Open the basket and turn the corn over after 5 - 7 mins of cooking. Note - You can brush / spray some oil if required.
Serve hot with a sprinkle of smoked paprika and garnish with some fresh cilantro or coriander.
Notes
Before air frying, check whether the corn fits inside the air fryer basket. If the corn is big in size, cut them in half.
Do not crowd or stack the basket which obstructs air flow while air frying.
Use EVOO while air frying and apply butter before serving. Applying melted butter and air frying often causes the butter to drip, burn and stick on the air fryer basket. Oil is much easier to clean.
Applying smoked paprika is optional. Although it is a treat for your taste buds.
You can substitute EVOO with butter, garlic and red chili flakes OR sprinkle parmesan cheese (after air frying, while the corn is still hot) for some cheesy corn.
How to Use Corn on the Cob - Add to salads, steamed corn can be eaten as snack, Salsa, toppings on pizza, toasties, sandwiches, tacos and wraps. Can be added to patties or cakes. A lot of Indian sabzis use corn. It pairs well with leafy greens like spinach and kale. Can be added to stews and soups besides veggie curries.Storage - You can refrigerate corn for a couple of days. Re-heat in an air fryer at 150 Degree Celsius for 2-3 mins until warm. You can separate the kernels from the cob and store them in an airtight container, under refrigeration or in freezer.
