Thick and Creamy Mango Milkshake made with Alphonso Mangoes. Summer friendly beverage, Easy and filling snack or breakfast-on-the-go recipe in just 10 minutes.
I am yet to meet anyone who doesn't enjoy a chilled glass of Mango Milkshake during summers. This Mango Milkshake recipe contains no ice cream and is made without added sugar. Naturally sweetened with superfood goji berries, this drink is the perfect way to enjoy summers. .
Milkshakes make the best on-the-go-breakfast for adults and kids. It is filling, quick to make with any seasonal fruit. They can be served with burgers, sandwiches and salads as a light afternoon meal during summers.
When it comes to Milkshakes, Mango is one of my favorite apart from Custard Apple and Strawberry Banana Milkshake with Chia Seeds. With fruits that are naturally sweet like nectar, there is no scope for artificial sweeteners.

Goji Berries
They are recognized worldwide as superfoods for their many health benefits. In India, berries of all kinds are quite expensive since they are not locally grown except Strawberries and Mulberries.
The dried Goji Berries are super sweet, slightly sour (almost like Raisins). When you combine them with the sweet Indian Alphonso Mango, You get the best Milkshake Ever!
Since I love berries, I add them to a ton of things at home right from Chia Puddings to Smoothies, Milkshakes and even Lassi (Yogurt Smoothie).

Ingredients and Substitutions
This is a simple 3 ingredient Milkshake
(1) Mangoes - I have used Alphonso Mangoes. You can make this using any variety of mango easily available locally. Use ones that are ripe (not tart) and have less fibrous strands. You could substitute fresh mangoes with store bought canned mango pulp.
(2) Milk - What is Milkshake without some milk? I have used Organic Cow Milk for this recipe. Vegans can substitute with Oat Milk, Coconut Milk or Almond Milk.
(3) Goji Berries - If you cannot source Goji Berries (available online or Asian Grocery Stores), feel free to use any fresh or frozen berries or fruits for this recipe. Blueberries, Raspberries, Cherry all are good substitutes.
If the berries are tart, add sweetener of your choice. Vegans can opt for maple syrup or stevia. You can also add unrefined granulated cane sugar or Honey.
Please note that fresh berries would cause a change in colour.
The recipe is nut-free. However, feel free to top the milkshake with some hemp seeds, chia seeds or any unsalted nuts like Almonds and Cashew.
Step by Recipe
(1) In a Blender jar, add peeled and roughly chopped mangoes
(2) Add Goji Berries and pour 2 cups chilled milk.
(3) Blend it until smooth and creamy.
(4) Pour in serving glasses garnished with some goji berries.

I love mango shakes but can't enjoy it much anymore because of diabetes. 🙁

You can have the whole mango instead. My Mum was a diabetic and doctor always told her one mango a day is not an issue also its seasonal. The juice actually spikes the blood sugar. This is just a suggestion, your doctor knows the best. Thank you for stopping by. Cheers!
