FAQ’S / Information

(1) How long can these Raw Banana Cutlets be stored?

Cutlets when refrigerated stay fresh up to 3 days. Frozen cutlets have a long shelf life and can be thawed and air fried when needed.

(2) Binding agent for cutlet

I have used Ragjira Flour or Amaranth flour to bind the cutlets. You can use Kuttu ka Aata or Buckwheat flour as an alternative. Both are ingredients used for fasting.

(3) Gluten Free and Vegan Raw Banana Cutlet

The recipe is gluten free and vegan. Even the flour used for binding is gluten free in nature. The recipe is dairy free too. You can skip the peanuts if you are allergic to nuts. Cashews are a good replacement to peanuts.

(4) Can I add Boiled Potatoes to the recipe?

Boiled potatoes taste excellent. For this particular recipe, use 2 medium size boiled and mashed potatoes as a replacement to the sweet potatoes.

I have used sweet potatoes as they are a good source of complex carbs and fibre. Keeps you fuller for longer.

(5) Can potatoes be skipped for this recipe?

Yes you can skip the potatoes entirely, just mash the raw banana and add some extra flour to hold the mixture together. I however, recommend some amount of potatoes for the taste.

(6) How Can I make the Cutlets without Air Fryer?

Use a good quality pan, add some oil and then pan fry them on low heat for a crisp exterior and soft centre.

You can also bake these in an oven at 180 Degree C for atleast 10 to 15 minutes. Spray oil on both sides. You will have to flip / turn the cutlets halfway between cooking.
