Pineapple Ginger Smoothie

Anti inflammatory Pineapple Ginger Smoothie is the perfect detox drink your body needs post the holiday season. This easy and healthy blend-and-go smoothie contains no added sugar and is absolutely refreshing after a weekend or holiday binge.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Pineapple 1.2 kg pineapple - cubed / cut into chunks
  • 1 tbsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • ¼ cup Mint Leaves
  • 1 cup Chilled Water or Ice Cubes

Instructions

  • In a blender jar, add the chopped pineapple chunks or cubes, mint leaves, fresh ginger, turmeric and lemon juice.
  • Blend with 1 cup of chilled water or ice cubes.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  1. This recipe serves 3 glasses of pineapple ginger smoothie. It can be doubled for a large family. 
  2. The recipe is sugar free, however, you can add any sugar substitutes like agave, maple syrup, honey if you prefer more sweetness. 
  3. I wouldn't recommend storing leftovers of any smoothie. They are to be consumed fresh. However, you can prep these a day earlier (chop) for convenience and saving time. 
  4. The smoothie makes great popsicles during summers. Just blend and pour them in popsicle molds, freeze them overnight and enjoy the next day.
